Dr. Kelsey brings functional medicine to The Garden, where she offers treatments rooted in therapeutic nourishment, botanical medicine, movement, and environmental toxin reduction. She believes in designing treatment plans which resonate with each individual patient and are paced to ensure a thorough, graceful healing journey. Her passions in medicine include fertility optimization, menstrual irregularities, thyroid disorders, autoimmunity, cancer care, and concussion healing.
Dr. Kelsey completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Food Science, and Dietetics at Boston University before pursuing her dietetic internship match to Michigan Medicine, University of Michigan’s hospital in Ann Arbor. She then went on to receive her doctorate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is certified in IV and injection therapies and offers these treatments on a pop-up basis in SF and LA.
In her time away from The Garden, Dr. Kelsey can be found creating nutrient-rich treats, perusing local zero-waste shops, steeping tea, hiking, and nurturing her hot yoga practice.

After seeing how acupuncture treatments changed her life, Dr. Mackenzie switched her life’s path from pursuing music and living in Philadelphia to attending acupuncture school in Berkeley. She has studied acupuncture in Japan, where she learned unique cosmetic acupuncture techniques that she beautifully weaves into her facials. Over the last 6 years while working in community healthcare, she witnessed the deep healing benefits acupuncture and herbs had on her patients’ fertility and reproductive health. Dr. Mackenzie is a Fellow of the The Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). She enjoys working with clients on all aspects of their healing journeys, especially supporting those with hormonal imbalances, PCOS, endometriosis, and those experiencing menopause. Originally from the North Bay Area, Kaitlin is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with a passion for women’s health and community medicine. Kaitlin believes in the power of traditional East Asian healing modalities and herbs as a way to help people find balance and healing, pain relief, and to create a deeper relationship with themselves and their own wellbeing. As a certified yoga teacher, fitness instructor and dancer, Kaitlin understands the power and capability of the human body’s resilience and ability to heal itself. She was first introduced to acupuncture and herbs through her own search for a natural way to manage recurring migraines, after several treatments the migraines stopped and a seed was planted in the garden of her mind. She is trained in cosmetic facial acupuncture, tui na, cupping, gua sha and herbal therapy. As an acupuncturist, she has experience treating patients in stroke recovery as well as patients dealing with chronic pain, auto-immune conditions, insomnia, anxiety, addiction and other mental health issues.
